Running my tests: Cut once, measure 3 times..
How can I tell if soda is having an effect on the cow stomach or "tripe"?
Looking at what is going on in the jars would not be a good way to tell if the tripe was being affected. I decided to weigh each tripe piece at the beginning of the experiment and then compare the changes in the weight of the tripe over a week.

My Procedure:
I lined up my jars and my fluids. For the flat sodas, I poured some of the Sprite and Diet Coke into large bowls and set aside for many hours so they would become flat. I got my notebook, pen, cutting board, knife, the tripe and the jars out so I could cut, weigh and put together my samples. I put a scale with its special sample tray on the table. I needed to test 8 types fluids, and for each, I needed to run 3 tests. I cut chunks of tripe and weighed each 3 times before putting it into a labeled jar. Then I poured in the specific fluid, covered the jars, and I put the jars into our refrigerator so the tripe would not spoil. Then every few days I would take out all my samples, the scale, tray, notebook and pen, and using the tongs, I would fish out the sample, dry it on the paper towels, and weigh the samples 3 times and write down the average weight. I did this Oct 24th, Oct 26th, Oct 29th, and the final weigh-in on Nov 2nd, 2017. I then put my results into a spreadsheet so I could calculate the changes in weight and the percentage change as well as create graphs.
